HYDROCON ENTERPRISE SDN BHD, incorporated 15 June 1987. Registered Grade G7 in building, civil engineering and mechanical works, including B08 waterproofing. Thirty-two staff and seventy-six site workers on our own payroll, so the crew that quotes is the crew that turns up.

Water finds the weak point.

A cold joint, a corner, an upstand, a pipe. Or a crack in a slab that ponds after every storm. Those are the details we draw, build and check.

When the work is done we flood the area and look for leaks before anyone else does.

The system, layer by layer.

Clients ask what actually goes on the slab. This is our RC roof system as we install it, in the order we install it.

  1. Reinforced concrete slabCleaned, dried and checked for falls.
  2. Base screed to fallCement and sand 1:4, 25 mm average, laid to drain.
  3. PRIMER W, then CHEMFLEX R-100Three coats of reinforced synthetic rubber membrane, fully bonded.
  4. HYDROFOAM HD insulation50 mm extruded polystyrene board over the membrane.
  5. Polythene sheet500-gauge, between the insulation and the protection concrete.
  6. G25 protection concrete75 mm with BRC A5 mesh, saw-cut into 2 m panels, every cut sealed.
  7. DURACOTE HBTwo coats of polyurethane where the roof stays exposed.
  8. Then we pond test.The roof is flooded and checked before handover.

Then we concrete over it.

Power-floated level, then cut into panels, so the concrete cracks at a joint and not across the slab.

The waterproofing system underneath never sees the sun again.
